Natural minor scale

Today i want to share info basic music scale,an easy to learn music for beginner. This information can be apply to guitar or other musical instrument but in this section,i will focus on guitar. The basic scale can be apply to other instrument.Basic guitar scale has 7 notes per octave or pitch. We are talking about scale, actually scale has natural minor scale,it is the basic scale or original scale. From this original scale,we can generate other scale based on natural minor scale or chord like harmonic minor scale, pentatonic minor scale, diminished scale or arpeggio, augumented scale, suspended chord and other 7th or 5th chord.Original chord can modified to create a new sound that differ from natural notes sound (A,B,C,D,E,F,G).In easy word to understand, natural minor notes like DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-TI-DO.If you say DO,the notes is A,if you say RE,your voice come from B note and so on.

In one octave, natural minor have 7 note total that is all ‘natural’ notes.Natural note mean music note does not have b(flat) or #(sharp) on this scale.Octave is a pitch that give different frequency of sound.for examples,if you play A note on 6th  E string and you play A note on E 1st string, you can get same note A but different in pitch.Pitch like stage of note, when you go upper and upper you at the high level, when you go to lower and lower, you at more lower.Pitch is like Low-mid-High stage. When u play bass guitar, the pitch is very Low,when u play Soprano sax,the pitch sound is very high.

The frequency of sound is different from different pitch. To masterly in music, you have to master in hearing technique, you should know how to differentiate between  Low,mid & high in pitching.Music instrument give different pitch range. For example, guitar have variable pitch that you want.either low or high. But !, bass guitar give you more ‘LOW’ sound and low frequency but not high as guitar.

This section i want to share info about A minor scale or C major scale as its relative scale.Relative mean,if one scale is minor,it have it own couple is major. In other world relative, like twin siblings. Why Am relative to C major ? because Aminor scale use same note as C major scale That are A,B,C,D,E,F,G or C,D,E,F,G,A,B.easy rite ?.

Harmonic minor scale

Actually, harmonic minor scale arise from natural minor scale or Am scale. The different is one note only is changed. What note was changed ? the answer is seventh note 7th  in natural minor scale.in Am scale,7th note is G note. The note is replaced by G# instead of G.in other word, you must sharp 7th note at half step or one fret up.Original scale is A,B,C,D,E,F,G.After sharpen the 7th note become A,B,C,D,E,F,G# !.That is A harmonic minor scale !

Major Scale

Major scale is scale that different from minor. The word ‘major’ express a happy mood.Differ from minor, sad mood.Major scale is relative to minor. For example,Am scale has its relative major scale C major,C major scale use same note/scale with Am but different pattern & root.C major start with root C,follow by D,E,F,G,A, & B.But Am scale start with A,B,C,D,E,F,G as discuss earlier. However,A major scale is different to Aminor scale, noted that !.A major come from Am,certain note are going to be sharp. To transform Am to A major scale, you must sharpen the 3rd,6th,&7Th .

Look scale below,3rd note in Am scale is C,sharpen become C#,6th note is F go to F#,then G going to G#.Its easy to understand different between minor and major scale with the same root. This is for Am to A.For other scale, use same method, modified the 3rd,6th,&7th going to sharp or up to half step, natural become sharp: C to C#(in Am scale),flat become natural : E to E(In Cm scale),sharp become next note in the scale.

Harmonic major Scale

Harmonic major scale derived from major scale.one note in major scale is modified, that is 5th note is rise to half step or sharpen this note.Different from harmonic minor that modified  7th note,in harmonic major 5th is modified !.For example,A major scale A,B,C#,D,E,F#,G#.5th note in this scale is E.To convert to harmonic major scale from A major scale,E is rise at half step become F note, because E & B note not have #,note become next note(EàF).Become new harmonic major scale A,B,C#,D,F,F#,G#.In new harmonic major scale, there are 2 F note, one F one other F#.
