Major 7 Chord

Major 7 chord is derive from original major chord.it is different from Dominant 7 chord that has combination major & minor 7 interval.maj7 has only major interval notes in main scale,it has 7th  major interval notes that put into the chord to produce maj7 chord.Examples, to create Cmaj7 from C major chord.Refer to main C major scale : C,D,E,F,G,A,B.Create C maj chord triad C-E-G.Then put 7th interval from Cmaj scale into Cmaj chord.7th notes in this scale is B note. So, interval is C-E-G-B.That is Cmajor chord !.Same method with other chord.

Step 1 : What Major 7 chord u want to create ?
Example : Cmajor7

Step 2 : List of all notes from scale that u choose & indentify 7th note in this scale(red colour)
Example : C major scale (C,D,E,F,G,A,B)

Step 3 : Create ‘Major’ chord interval from scale selected (1-3-5)
Example : Cmajor chord (C,E,G)

Step 4 : Put 7th interval from scale into selected chord(7th interval : B note)
Example : C-E-G + B = C-E-G-B (1-3-5-7)
Now new C major7 chord ! not C7,this is dominant 7!.
